Veritas Technologies has announced it will operate as a single-distributor business in the country, effective October 1, 2022, after signing with Dicker Data, its existing distributor.
The move follows Veritas’ recent decision to divest its consumer business, including selling its popular PC backup software product, to Carbonite.
Under the new agreement, Dicker Data will distribute Veritas’ entire portfolio of products and services in Australia, including its data protection, storage, availability and insights solutions.
“Dicker Data has been a trusted partner of Veritas in Australia for many years, and we are delighted to extend our relationship,” said Mike Palmer, president and CEO of Veritas.
“This agreement will enable us to operate more efficiently in the Australian market and focus on growing our business through our channel partners.”
“Veritas is thrilled to enter a new stage of our partner-centric model in Australia and New Zealand, which will give extra focus and investment to our channel community,” said Pete Murray, Managing Director of Veritas Australia and New Zealand. “Our partners rely on Veritas to provide their customers’ data management, protection and insight solutions. This relationship allows Dicker Data and Veritas to accelerate our business in Australia together, not only for our traditional products but also, given Dicker Data’s strength in the Microsoft channel, to a new cohort of partners.”
Vladimir Mitnovetski, Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of Dicker Data, said: “We have been working closely with Veritas for over 20 years and this newest partnership only cements our relationship further.” “We are pleased to see the Veritas family expand its reach and solution portfolio, particularly with cloud service providers utilizing our core cloud distribution capabilities.”
Dicker Data will continue to provide its full range of services to Veritas partners, including technical support, pre-sales assistance, demand generation activities and product training.
For Australians, this partnership means you’ll now have access to a broader range of Veritas products and services, all backed by the same great support from Dicker Data. So whether you’re looking for data protection, storage, availability or insights solutions, you know you can rely on Veritas and Dicker Data.
