iOS 16 has developed two advanced security features for worst-case scenarios. One is the secure boot feature, and the other is the file encryption feature.
APPLE has said, “We offer software that is secure and private enough for all users by default, without special tiers or paid services.” The two new security features are designed to help or protect people who are subjected to any crisis in their lives.
The secure boot feature ensures that only Apple-approved software can run on your device, preventing malware from taking over. The file encryption feature encrypts all your files so that even if someone manages to get into your device, they won’t be able to access your data.
The first feature is a panic button that can be activated by simultaneously pressing and holding power and volume up buttons. This will trigger an emergency call to 911 and send a message to your emergency contacts with your current location.
The second feature is called “Emergency SOS.” This can be activated by pressing the power button five times in quick succession. This will also trigger an emergency call to 911 and send a message to your emergency contacts with your current location.
These features can be disabled if you do not want them triggered accidentally. To do this, go to Settings > Emergency SOS and toggle the “Call with Side Button” and “Auto Call” options to off.
These new security features will help to keep your data safe if your device is ever lost or stolen. They provide an extra layer of protection against the most serious threats and will help to ensure that your data is safe no matter what happens.
If you are concerned about the security of your data, then these new features are worth considering. They could be the difference between keeping your data safe and having it stolen or compromised. So if you have iOS 16, enable these new security features!
